We had sooo much fun writing this poem today :)

 Room 10’s Lunch-Munch-Crunch Rhyme 

Can you tell me, if you please,
Who likes mouldy cheese?
Hannah and Jamie like mouldy cheese!

How about Fred?
Fred likes bread.

How about Bo?
Bo likes dough.

 How about Sam?
Sam likes jam on ham!

 How about Blake?
Blake likes steak and cake!

 How about Bryn?
Bryn likes eating from the biscuit tin!

 How about Ava?
Ava likes flavour!

 Ok then, tell me if you can,
 Others in Room 10 what do you like?

Setting Descriptions

Here is Bryns fantastic setting description. Can you guess where he is describing? This place is really tropical with the glistening water and the dazzling bright sun. At night there is no birds tweeting just crickets chirping on palm trees as the super warm water appears on the gritty golden sandy beach and washes away with a load of bright green and dark brown seaweed. The island is really busy as people bustle around in the middle of the day in Avarua [the islands central town]. But it is especially busy when the hot gleaming sun rains down its delightful beams.

Journal Writing Star

Our best journal writer today was Dylan. We are working on making our journals more interesting by adding adjectives: Journey to Australia: day 2 On Friday morning, I woke up extra early. At first I had forgot where I was until I remembered I was in Australia. The first thing I did was quickly rush to my cousin Willis's and he showed me the awesome game Temple Run on his Mum's iphone. That day we drove to Sea World. We ran to the seal and dolphin shows, rode on a flume ride and saw tons of funky fish and sweet sharks! That night, we walked to someones house for a tasty dinner. A woman let me keep a blue angry bird. We saw Ice Age 2 and had brownies for dinner. Finally I fell asleep. Part 3 coming soon to a blog near you.

Snow in Sumner!!!

Playground Expert

This afternoon we had a visit from a playground expert. He talked to us about designing playgrounds and making sure we have fun equipment that challenges us. We are going to revisit our designs so that they include some of the things he talked about like bushes, trees and maybe even tree huts!
