We are learning to write for other people to read....

In Room 10 on Mondays, we are learning to write for other people to read.  First, we talk to a buddy and share our ideas. Next, we write our news using the 4 W's. Later, we share our writing with the class and someone can write on our blog.

Bryn's Journal Writing: 

On a noisy Saturday night my family went to a winery in Waipara called the Mudhouse. It had my Mum's favourite bands. We took my snails, a lantern, a blanket and deck chairs. The concert went until 10 o'clock at night. Everytime I went to the port-a-loo, it shook because the music was so loud! My snails came out because they are nocturnal.

Splashin' and Dashin'

We have been splashing through the water practicing for our Splash n Dash which is next Friday. We will swim a length then jump out of the pool and put our shoes and t-shirts on. Then we will run for our lives around the field.  We are SO lucky to have a school pool here at Sumner! Look at us having fun in the sun today ...

Hello Piglets at School. Today we had a visit from some kunekune pigs. Thanks Mrs Stevens, for introducing us to your daughter's pigs.

Jude visits Antartica

Today, we had a visit from Jude McKendry. She is getting ready to go to Antarctica on an icebreaker ship. She dressed some of the kids up in the clothes that she will need to go on the boat.  We are going to follow her journey on this website
